Nível Avançado (Pessoas que já estudam há um bom tempo e tem um vocabulário avançado)

Children and a tornado

Nível Iniciante

A tornado in the USA destroyed a school. Some children died but many children lived. Children who lived were afraid. They cried. Their parents and their teachers helped them. There is a video about it.

Many people were saved but fifteen people and nine children died from the tornado. More than 200 people were injured.

Interesting words: destroy (break and finish), be injured (have problems with body).

Nível Intermediário

An internet video captured a sad moment. It shows how children screamed and they cried because a tornado had destroyed their school. Parents and teachers tried to make these children feel better.

Twenty-four people died in this storm and nine of them were children. Emergency workers pulled more than a hundred survivors from the destroyed building. More than two hundred people were injured.

Interesting words: captured (filmed), survivor (person who lives after a disaster).

Nível Avançado

This footage shows school children screaming, crying and wandering around in bewilderment moments after the tornado struck their school.

It shows how teachers and parents rush to comfort the children who were visibly in shock.
